Liz Knoot is an Associate Attorney at Webber Law Firm. Liz graduated from Iowa State University (Ames, Iowa) with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Spanish and earned her law degree at William Mitchell College of Law (St. Paul, MN) (now Hamline Mitchell School of Law) where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Liz is licensed to practice law by the Supreme Court of Minnesota and because immigration law is federal law, she is permitted to represent clients throughout the United States and worldwide on U.S. immigration law matters.

Liz gained experience in immigration law as a paralegal before attending law school. She worked for several years at a boutique immigration law firm and a large law firm before becoming an attorney. After law school she gained extensive experience in employment-based, family-based, and removal defense immigration law as an associate attorney and then as the Principal attorney and founder of Knoot Law. Liz merged her existing law practice with Webber Law Firm in July 2016.

At Webber Law Firm, Liz focuses her practice on employment- and family-based immigration law matters, handling a large number of applications for large multinational clients, as well as small companies and individual clients. Liz has particular emphasis on permanent immigration options, such as PERM Labor Certification and adjustment of status.

AILA Member LogoLiz is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. She has served as the co-liaison to the Bloomington (now Ft. Snelling) Executive Office of Immigration Review, co-chair of the New Member Division, and chair of the Upper Midwest Immigration Law Conference planning committee.
